General (retired) Michael V. Hayden and Jeanine C. Hayden established the Hayden Family Foundation in 2017 to help improve the lives of others through donations to organizations conducting charitable, educational, and scientific endeavours. Recipients must have IRS tax exempt 501(c)(3) status. Past awards have been given to institutions of higher learning, to support the children of Ametican intelligence officers who died in service, and to support economic empowerment in developing countries.
